Membership in SRM

Membership in the Society for Range Management is open to anyone engaged in or interested in any aspect of the study, management, or use of rangelands. Membership rights and privileges include: voting, committee service, nomination and election to offices, subscription to Rangelands journal and the Trail Boss News, discounted prices for publications, meeting registration fees, page charges and certification fees. 

Membership is on an anniversary date basis and are for one year from date of receipt. Section membership is mandatory. Members may be affiliated with as many Sections as desired upon receipt of additional Section dues.


"Regular" member dues are based on annual income and include Section dues of $5.

  • Sustaining Membership - $20 contribution in addition to membership dues. 
  • Life Membership - $750 (Installment Plan: $250 each year, plus "Regular" dues for 3 years)
  • Life Family Membership - $800 (Installment Plan: $200 each year, plus Regular dues for 4 years) 
  • Commercial Membership - Supporting: $250 Contributing: $500 Major: $1,000
    Optional Subscriptions with Membership :
  • Journal of Range Management (Six issues per year) - $15 
  • International Range News (Two issues per year) - $10/Regular; $5/Students
