WELCOME...
to the Range Science Program
at the Range Cattle Research & Education Center at Ona.

Lopsided indiangrassThe primary mission of the RCREC Range Science Program is to conduct research to find solutions to problems hampering profitable range management in south Florida. It is important that management of rangelands production is compatible with the environment for livestock and maintains the integrity and functionality of natural systems. The RCREC Range Science Program is part of the UF/IFAS Range Science Program.

The program develops integrated land management strategies to protect and enhance rangelands and natural systems for wildlife habitat, agricultural and recreational uses. It fosters education, expands knowledge, and rewards scholarship, using multidisciplinary approaches, for the purpose of understanding, managing, and conserving biological resources.
