Biography
Dr. Jeff Mullahey , After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina State University in 1979, he joined the North Carolina Agricultural Extension Service as the County Extension Agent. He was responsible for beef, dairy, poultry, and forage production. In 1983, he returned to North Carolina State University and studied the influence of potassium carbonate, drying agent, on drying time of field cured alfalfa hay. He received his Master of Science degree in 1986. He continued his studies at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln where he focused on defoliation effects on yield, persistence, and vigor of Sandhills warm-season range grasses. Also, characterizing rumen protein degradability of cool and warm-season grasses using in situ technique.
