Biography
Dr. Rick Williams joined the faculty in June 2003. Dr. Williams' appointment is 60% teaching and 40% extension in the area of forest management. Prior to coming to Florida, Rick was an Associate Professor at the School of Forest Resources, University of Arkansas - Monticello where he taught courses in Forest Management, Integrated Forest Management, Forest Policy, Forestry Herbicides, Contemporary Forest Issues and Outdoor Recreation. His research involved non-industrial private forest landowner studies, herbicide application studies, multiple species management and hardwood restoration under the Conservation Reserve Program and the Wetlands Reserve Program. Rick also has industrial forestry experience as he worked for International Paper Company in Arkansas.
