The field day held on May 10, 2013 was a sneak peek into what the program will offer in the coming months and years. New production practices and opportunities for small farms were on display.

Congratulations to Gina Duke, Jesse Goyer, and Jennifer Pugh all graduating from the NRC program and Environmental Horticulture graduates Joseph James, Samuel Mize, and Kaylen Rowland.  Thanks to all who made the event a success especially Robin, Erin, and Ashley.

Perry Byars has been named Teacher of the Year at Northview High School. Byars has been teaching for 25 years and currently teaches Agriscience. While attending the University of Florida, Byars earned both his Bachelors degree and Masters degree in Agriculture. He received his masters degree while attending the WFREC. He also earned an Associates degree from Lake City Community College. He is the sponsor of the National FFA Organization at Northview.
