Dr. Ramon G. Leon

Assistant Professor, Weed Science

Dr. Leon has a 60% research and 40% extension appointment. The goal of his research and extension programs is to develop and implement integrated approaches for weed management that promote crop health and growers’ profitability in row crops and turf. His research emphasizes weed-crop interactions and herbicide efficacy, but also includes seed physiology, seed bank dynamics, ecophysiology of weeds, and evolution of weedy traits.
