Natural Resource Conservation

Working in close cooperation with an academic advisor, Natural Resources Conservation (NRC) students prepare programs of study according to their educational and career goals, or they can follow one of several specialized options in forestry or wildlife.  According to their programs, NRC students are assigned to faculty advisors in the School of Forest Resources and Conservation or in the Department of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation.

After earning the B.S. in Forest Resources and Conservation, NRC students find employment in government agencies, consulting firms, and environmental education programs. Many NRC students pursue advanced degrees in the biological ecological, and social sciences as well as the professional areas of education and law.

Community college students must complete an Associate of Arts, meet the required grade point average (G.P.A.), complete the required prerequisite courses, and meet the foreign language and immunization policies of the University of Florida before transferring.
