Natural Resource Conservation |

Working in close cooperation with an academic
advisor, Natural Resources Conservation (NRC) students prepare programs of
study according to their educational and career goals, or they can follow one
of several specialized options in forestry or wildlife. According to their programs, NRC students are
assigned to faculty advisors in the
After earning the
B.S. in Forest Resources and Conservation, NRC students find employment in
government agencies, consulting firms, and environmental education programs.
Many NRC students pursue advanced degrees in the biological ecological, and
social sciences as well as the professional areas of education and law.
Community college
students must complete an Associate of Arts, meet the required grade point
average (G.P.A.), complete the required prerequisite courses, and meet the
foreign language and immunization policies of the
STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PREPROFESSIONAL
COURSES, PRIOR TO TRANSFERRING, WITH A MINIMUM GRADE OF 2.5.

OR BOT 1010 & 1010L General Botany I and lab (4hrs)
OR ZOO1010 & 1010L General Zoology and

MAC 2233 Survey of Calculus (3hrs)
SPC 1600 Intro to Public Speaking (3hrs)
It is strongly recommended that
the following preprofessional courses be completed at the community college,
but they are not required for admission to the
